Quickslide required highly skilled specialists to join their workforce. But, could a local leaflet distribution really work? This case study reveals how to create actionable recruitment flyer designs.
The Client: A Yorkshire-based windows and doors manufacturer, Quickslide have built up a strong, award-winning brand. They first contacted us in 2017 to help them promote their products to the local area and drive sales. This was prior to our partnership with the Royal Mail, so our competent flyer distribution team did the work at the time.
The Targeting: In August 2020, Sandra got in touch to book another distribution, this time to drive recruitment at their factory for PVCu fabricators and other staff. We talked her through the Royal Mail process, consulted with her on which postcode sectors to target and produced a map to confirm she was happy with the areas.
The Flyer Design: The flyer design was simple, clear and made the application process very easy. After we spoke of the success of the Next recruitment campaign for warehouse staff, Sandra opted for a 12,500 distribution to the local Brighouse area.
The Results: Their first campaign was a great success, and they filled five positions. They then followed this up with another successful leaflet drop to 25,000 households across a larger area, with main transport links to Brighouse.
How we Achieved This: Quickslide's success draws attention again to the impact of using flyers to fill job roles; our Royal Mail distribution is hugely effective. But, as we've seen from other recruitment campaigns, it is imperative that the design includes key elements - namely happy staff pictures, details on pay and benefits and a really simple response process. Flyers that require multiple steps to respond will see less success because people live busy lives. The easier you can make it for a person to engage with your brand, the stronger the response you will see.
Additional Services: Having used us to promote sales and fill vacancies, Quickslide is also looking to benefit from using our Direct Mail service to contact existing customers. We look forward to continuing to help them and building on our great relationship with them.
The Clients Feedback: "Mr Flyer did an excellent job distributing around 13000 recruitment flyers for us. The return was excellent and as a result we are in discussion with Mr Flyer to run another 25000 flyers." Sandra - Quickslide Windows & Doors
